WEEK ELEVEN (Due by the end of Tuesday, June 9)
MAKE-UP WORK
DUE TUESDAY JUNE 9| Make-up work and Revisions
- LATE WORK: You may complete and submit any late work. These two days will NOT count towards late days (but all previous days will at the standard 5% per day).
- REVISIONS: You may go back and revise a previously graded project and those revisions will be used to improve your grade. Please email me in advance to let me know what project you want to revise so I can let you know what to fix.
WEEK TEN (Multiple due dates | See below)
PIXEL ART
DUE FRIDAY JUNE 5| Complete your Pixel Art project and submit according to the guidelines provided on the Critical Information page. Make sure your file is named Pixel Art_LastnameF.
- DOCUMENT SIZE: I would say the minimum would be 50 pixels by 50 pixels but your design may need more canvas than that. The safe move may be for you to send me an example of a pixel art image (regardless of subject and background) that uses the same amount of pixels you envision so I can provide guidance. I am afraid some of you will use a document too big and have too much work to do.
- BACKGROUND: Remember that your background cannot just be a color or gradient fill. (Of course a gradient fill in pixel art would be stripes- but still not allowed.
- PENCIL TOOL: Use the Pencil tool. Go to Edit: Preferences and select Image Interpolation. Change setting to Nearest Neighbor.
- TUTORIALS: You may use tutorials. I like the one shown last week (but remember to stick to the minimum document size listed above).
